How To Manage Time

Hello World,

If you’ve ever thought, “there’s just not enough time”, this post is for you.

It’s kind of an interesting thing to think about: whether there’s too little or too much time.

The truth is,

There literally can’t be too much or too little of it.

It just is.

Bear with me here (I know how woo woo I sound right now!):

There’s always 24 hours in a day.

When you’re thinking there’s not enough time, still there’s 24 hours in a day.

When you’re thinking there’s too much time, still there’s 24 hours in a day.

The amount of time doesn’t change, only your perception of it does.

What’s the big deal, right?

WRONG!

It’s the biggest deal!

Because we get all worked up believing we don’t have enough time,

We end up creating overwhelm,

And when you’re in overwhelm,

My guess is, if you’re like I was, you spin round and round “doing a million things”,

i.e. not really doing anything to completion, and/or,

Thinking of all the things you still HAVEN’T done,

i.e. getting exhausted before you even started doing anything,

Therefore not really starting anything,

Result: time moves on as it does, and in that space, you ended up not completing the tasks you wanted to, not because there wasn’t enough time, but because of how you showed up in that time.

Instead, you could decide to think that you had enough time to do everything you wanted to do.

After all, all of the things you have decided you need to do, are all things that you have chosen to do.

You chose to do them, and you could also decide to not do them, hypothetically.

You’re 100% in control of how you spend your time.

And our relationship with it is everything, because it determines how we show up.

So knowing there are 24 hours in day, and understanding the limitations of a human body, how do you WANT to spend your time? How would you show up for yourself if you believed there was enough of it?

If you know me, you know I am a geek for productivity and time management. Dialling in your relationship with time is I believe one of the most effective ways to reach your goals. If you need help in this area, it’s not because there’s anything wrong with you. You likely just have some limiting beliefs about time, and I can show you how to clean them up.
