Happy NYE!

Happy New Years Eve (Day)!

There’s a lot of excitement and energy around the new year and that’s super fun and for sure — get on that train! 🚂

But also, I hope you also take some time to acknowledge yourself for all the things you’ve done this past year.

Your Past Self may not have done everything “perfectly” (not even possible, anyways), but they MINIMUM got you through a pandemic.

Here’s why it’s so important to give your Past Self some props:

The way you show up now for your Past Self will determine how YOU show up for your Future Self:

Let’s say you were a small child and your parent never acknowledged any of the things you did well.

Let's say they would just keep pointing out where you messed up and where you were lacking.

After a while, there would be no incentive to try, and this wouldn’t create the most loving relationship.

Your Past Self is that child and your Present Self is the parent.

AND

Your Present Self is that child and your Future Self is the parent.

If you want to show up as the child who feels safe and empowered to keep trying new things moving forward, you need to become the parent you want to be now.

Spending time on creating a loving relationship with your Past Self

Not only feels wonderful,

But is also the most effective way to accomplish any future goals

Because you'll know that you have your back no matter what:

That you’ll love yourself even if you fail

And that you’ll celebrate the %$@% out of yourself when you succeed.

So, go ahead, celebrate yourself! List alllllllll the things you've accomplished, no matter how small.

(And I would love for you to let me know so I can celebrate with you, too!)

Happy New Year, Beautiful.

PS: If you want to get all the things done next year, celebrating yourself consistently is key to keep showing up for yourself and for your calendar. I teach you how in my weekly calendaring process. Are you ready?
